Rusty is a principal in the firm consulting on a wide range of estate planning, tax law and M&A topics. He is the founder and owner of Spoor Law, P.A., born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Masters Degree in Accounting/Taxation and Juris Doctorate Degree all from Florida State University. Rusty is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of Florida.
Rusty previously worked for international law firm Foley & Lardner LLP in its Tampa, Florida office, working in the Tax and Individual Planning, Estates and Trusts, and Business practice groups. Rusty also previously worked as a tax accountant for Thomas Howell Ferguson, P.A., in Tallahassee Florida, before pursuing his law degree.
Rusty focuses his practice on transactional law, assisting individual clients with estate planning needs and small and medium sized businesses with business matters, tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning, among others. Rusty is married with three daughters, and currently resides in St. Petersburg. Outside of the office, he focuses his time and energy on faith, family and FSU athletics.
